I'm getting married! Yes, I can finally say that out loud haha. These past few months have been a whirlwind for me and today I take a breather from all the busyness to write down some of the things I am about to face in the next months, esp. with regards to all my wedding preps next year. In just a few months, my journey has expanded to educating myself and being almost like a CPA (Certified Parang Accountant), (still) organizing events and doing my best to prepare to be a missus (you might see more of this in the blog hehe). I was initially overwhelmed when it came to readying myself for that life-changing day. Due to my crazy schedule, I haven't done long trips for 3 months and found myself crankier by the day hahahaha.

The Start of My Journey With Transitions Lenses and George Optical
There are moments when I'm tired on a familiar trip home and I just take off my glasses to blur the bright billboards and night lights. They instantly turn into pretty dispersed bursts of color like a bokeh without the use of any camera trick. This is one of those few moments that I'm happy to have myopia or nearsightedness. I lost my idea that I have a perfect vision in my 20s and been wearing lenses ever since. In those many years, I must say, that I've never experienced a thorough eye checkup and eye care wakeup call like this one I had with George Optical. They helped carry out all the measurements and specifications needed for my new eyeglasses equipped with the latest Transitions Lens Technology! :)
I got to take with me my Transitions XTRActive lenses to Batanes (and my future travels)! ;) #LifeintheBestLight
Savoring the Healthy Flavors of Thailand at the Mango Tree Restaurant Manila (Plus Recipes)!
I'm excited to go back to Thailand this December! I'd only been to Bangkok once for a short trip and I remember plenty of delicious food! When I got back, J and I frequent Thai Dara here in N. Domingo before they transferred to Kapitolyo. It's been a while though coz we have lots of other cuisines competing for our attention nowadays. A great reminder just came along this month when Mango Tree Restaurant invited me to this mindful eating talk with speaker Lia Bernardo. Oh, how fitting it was to reunite my senses to the unique flavors of Thai food, to ignite my curiosity for the classic food ingredients (as well as herbs and spices) one can find in Thailand and much more (I have some recipes in my post too below) :) I know more or less what to add to my itinerary while I'm there now haha.
What's New: Everyday Journey and Conquering Anxiety, Cravings, Gastritis Problems and Fear
I may seem calm, collected and quiet when you meet me. Truth is, I'm probably in my head analyzing stuff and might be encountering any one of these (see title above). It might take some time for me to open up, smile and make friends like in the case of my most recent trip where I didn't know anyone. It's a constant struggle and it happens every day even in the mundane aspects of my life. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment. I'm thinking writing might curb my thoughts to my happy place.

My Barre3 Manila Journey at The Spa Wellness Studio in Greenhills
I'm sitting on my window seat en route to Seoul as I write this and just finished eating my delicious inflight meal. I feel stuffed though and even if I really like airplane food, there's a part of me already missing whole foods and some quinoa. I'm also thinking of ways to be more active here. You see, during my trip break from April to June, I'd found myself in a different kind of journey. I finally used up my non-trip days doing a 28 to Great challenge and 50 days of continuous Barre3 (mix of yoga, pilates and ballet workout at The Spa Wellness).
Organic Detox Recipe Suited to Philippines from Dr. Albert Jo of Negros Occidental - Some Realizations and Lessons I Learned
As I may have hinted on my Facebook page, I am now on an Organic Detox Journey following my most recent trip with the Agricultural Training Institute of the Philippine Department of Agriculture (the same agency who showed me the way to organic agriculture in Costales Farms, La Trinidad and Sagada). The years of traveling and blogging has taken a toll me, physically and emotionally on some days, and going on food trips, events, binging moments & having junk food readily available naturally took me to an alarming weight gain. Just compare my old blog photos and the newest ones haha. Well, Today is my last day of the detox and I'd like to share with you some of my experiences and thoughts about the past 4 days.
