Time flies by so fast. It's almost April and it will soon be the Ber months. I don't usually plan this far ahead but my 2-week trip to Costa Rica with Frontier UK (wee!) is fast approaching (3rd Quarter of this year) and I want to add in a side-trip to San Francisco (fly out back to Manila) along the way. Why? Well, there's no direct flight from Manila to Costa Rica and they have a lot of flights from Los Angeles (fly in from Manila) to the Puerto Jimenez airport so I'm just going to do it all together with few adjustments to the airfare. My living expenses in Costa Rica are all covered so I only have to worry about my accommodations in San Francisco =) I've found a few I'd like to try out so far with a particular budget and location in mind at Airbnb hehe.

Domestic Travel in the US through Google Flights Page, Reminders to Myself for Booking, Check-in, Getting Through TSA Security in the Airport, Baggage, Boarding and Onboard Experience
I'm beginning to enjoy domestic air travel in the United States. I'm not at all irritated that I will spend half my day flying around from Austin to my next destination - Virginia. I get to write or sleep, I get drinks like the airlines of the past and actually get to appreciate checking in my carry-on luggage for free. I've taken 5 domestic US flights so far in the past 2 weeks from direct flights to connecting flights, there's SFO-LAS (Las Vegas), LAS-SFO (San Francisco), SFO-AUS (Austin), AUS-ATL (Atlanta) and ATL-ROA (Roanoke). I must say that after all of that, I've gotten quite the hang of how to check-in, pass through the TSA (and the things I must bring out), checking in my carry-on and enjoying my flight. They definitely do things a lot differently here from what I'm used to in Manila and there are stuff that I need to remember to make all these as smooth as possible. I will fly a few more times in the next 2 weeks so I will update this with some more from ROA-ORD (Chicago), ORD-SFO (San Francisco) and SFO-SNA (Los Angeles). I guess what I'm saying is I wish I could have known some of these before I booked the tickets, especially those with connecting flights and short windows. I can't touch on all airlines, all airports and all aircrafts and this post is based on my experiences. Hope this helps you too.
At Home in the Sky with Philippine Airlines, PAL Business Class to San Francisco!
As I write this, I’m thousands of miles away from home and up in the sky aboard an Airbus A340-300 or A330-300. This is my first ever long-haul flight on a Philippine Airlines Business Class ticket to San Francisco. I’m around halfway there – the plane left at 10:30 p.m. Manila time (the only flight to SanFo) and it’s been 5 out of 11 hours flight time already. Oh so suddenly, the urge to write came to me at 3 a.m. (Manila-time) haha. I’d get there by night (US Time) so I can’t keep on sleeping on this very comfy multi-functional “cool cubicle” of mine. Munching on a perfect bowl of unlimited salsa and Doritos here in my seat, I’d like to tell you about my flight so far. =) As you know, I’m a PAL loyalist ever since. I would just like to say that this is over-the-top! I don’t think there’s first class for this PR104 so I wonder what that’ll be like if this is Business Class. Meanwhile, I’m quite settled in – uber happy to make the most out of this home in the sky with a blog post! Haha.
