The Chocolate Chamber at the Moadto Strip Mall in Panglao, Bohol!

So the reason for our Bohol trip was The Chocolate Chamber at the Moadto Strip Mall! I first tasted this around 2 years ago and have been craving for it since ;) In my opinion, it's the best local Filipino-made chocolate bar and also in nugget style that I've had so far. This is my Royce and Callebaut local equivalent of chocolate with a smooth and refined flavor. The Chocolate Chamber offerings here in Panglao are not available in Manila and Luzon except for their tablea/hot chocolate which you can get at the Manila Hotel

In Bohol and Cebu (where the owner Chocolate Queen Raquel "Ralfe" Choa is from), you can get many flavors of their bars, cacao nibs, cacao mass, tableas, hot chocolate powders, dark chocolates and white chocolates to take home. No milk chocolates here though haha.

You can also have merienda here since they offer snacks with a side of sikwate (hot chocolate). We tried their Spanish hot chocolate and it was made using their tablea mixed with the batirol on a stovetop, along with water and condensed milk. Yum! It's on the sweet side and thin so I like it. They have two other types like the Traditional bitter one and the Mexican version (which I am assuming has spices). We didn't have more space to try their cakes and ice cream but I would be a very happy girl to get a big birthday cake made up all 7 different slices of their chocolate cakes in their cafe menu to pick which one I like best!

For now, I can only take home their tablea (pure chocolate mass in semi liquid form). Their staff said to make sure to drink this hot or else the bits will harden if I put ice.

It includes instructions on how to make Traditional Hot Chocolate or sikwate that Jeff likes and also the sweeter Spanich Hot Chocolate that I prefer. So we can adjust according to our preferences and control the amount of sugar and milk.

For quick bites and munchies, I bought these items below and would highly recommend the white chocolate with cocoa nibs, the chocolate mango nuggets (in dark chocolate and sea salt) and the Tartufini (roasted cocoa nibs with caramel and cacao liquor). I also bought hibiscus chocolate powder (can be cold chocolate drink).

For chocolate tours, they also have La Factoria at the Moadto Strip Mall by appointment. And FYI, there are a lot more Chocolate Chamber stores in Cebu since it is from there. I wouldn't mind going to Cebu next for this once I run out of supply haha.
