Things to Do in Apulit Island Resort - Day 3 Activities at El Nido Resorts Palawan

I believe a major difference between Miniloc / Lagen island Resort to Apulit Island Resort (all operated by El Nido Resorts) is that when you stay at the latter, almost all the days will be spent on the island itself because of the numerous activities available to do at your own schedule (you can even arrange for guides a day before, sometimes on the day itself). This is the third and last installment of my trip where we did a beach picnic, kayaking, snorkeling, a daredevil limestone climbing stunt, rapelling and a bit more.

El Nido Resorts Apulit Palawan Tour Day 2 - Island Hopping Isla Blanca, Family Rooms and Other Things to Do at Apulit Island Resort

I've written about the many things I wanted to do at Apulit Island Resort given the chance. Alas! I was able to go there and experience it for myself (I got to cross a lot of things on that list!). One thing I've found out is the tranquility that the place provides given its remote location. Some may say that one should try all the activities if you go that far. This time around, we let nature and our moods take its course. For we went there both to explore, to relax and just take in what's in front of us at that particular moment and season in time. Island hopping was on the list, of course (but one is just enough for me), enough personal space and bonding with the family. I spent the rest of the day chillin' under the shade and comforts of the veranda of my water cottage while I await the newest baby of our extended family. I welcomed them and showed them the family room like I own the place hahaha.

Apulit Island Palawan Itinerary Day 1 - The El Nido Resorts Experience and Getting There

I spent a Christmas holiday at the El Nido Resorts-managed Apulit Island, formerly known as Club Noah. It is located a bit farther than the Miniloc and Lagen Island Resorts but still in Palawan. What's good about going during holidays are the numerous festivities and activities for the guests. Our first day was spent on flying from Manila, boat transfers, land transfers, settling in and enjoying the afternoon and night there.

Going to Apulit Island, El Nido Resorts in Taytay, Palawan! (former Club Noah)

Of all the provinces in the Philippines, Palawan is one of my favorites. Coron and El Nido occupy a very special place in my heart because my experiences there and encounter with nature were truly one of a kind. The crystal clear water, lagoons and the limestone formations are just some of the things that take my breath away.

I believe that the Underground River in Puerto Princesa is only one of the many wonders of Palawan and I have yet to discover for myself the charm of Culion and other lesser known areas like Taytay. Here's an aerial view of Palawan from our previous flight.

This post is an introduction to Palawan Resorts and a future guide for myself when I go to Apulit Island in Taytay, Palawan! Check out my 3D2N Apulit Island escapade here.

Things to Do in El Nido Palawan, Part II of II

Most of the El Nido guests stay only for 3 days at El Nido Resorts. One extra day did make a difference for me as a second-timer. We visited another El Nido Resorts private island called Dilumacad and not a lot of people think to go here first (it's nice to get an El Nido island listing from the net, even Wikipedia, and ask the guides about them when you get there so you don't have only "island hopping" in the itinerary). This was one of the highlights of this trip for me and I felt like Dora the Explorer on this one. There's a whole lot of space and sand for everyone and, apparently, people have survived being stuck here for a few months. Haha. This is Day 3 and Day 4 of my recent Palawan trip. Click here for Day 1 and Day 2.

Things to Do in El Nido Resorts Palawan, Part I of II

Following the success of writing down an actual 3D2N suggested itinerary for El Nido, Palawan in this blog, I would like to add a supplement that will serve as a peek or peeks at how I was able to come up with the timeline of the activities based on my own El Nido Resorts experience. In this post, you will see the activities come to life and how each one was able to shape my if-I-were-you-I'd-do-these-for-3-days-in-El-Nido post. You can follow this itinerary too for a 4D3N Stay at El Nido Resorts although I think you can already do so much for 3 days then you can save up the remaining for next time. Here's what happened during that awesome trip...

3D2N Philippines! Palawan!

What can you do in a trip with only 3 Days and 2 Nights? I'm actually an advocate of a slower form of travel, enjoying even the laziest of mornings and afternoons or taking my time with a very interesting activity. If it were not totally up to me, however, I can definitely adapt to the pace of my travel buddies, push myself to the limits and almost always find something enjoyable. For this contribution, I'd like to share a 3D2N itinerary if you find yourself in El Nido Resorts, some you can still pattern if just live nearby or if the activity is available in your area. El Nido is a protected area and a municipality in northern Palawan, one of the provinces in the Philippines. I've highlighted the El Nido Resorts Miniloc Difference in my previous post and I will tell an in-depth story about my experience that led to this suggested itinerary in the next few posts. Of all the activities available and all-inclusive in your El Nido Resorts stay, these stood out for me.

The El Nido Resorts Miniloc Difference

Of all the destinations I've been to in the Philippines so far, Palawan is one of my favorites. I never get tired of the limestone rock formations and be it Coron, Puerto Princesa, Pamalican (where Amanpulo is) or El Nido, the most popular destinations in Palawan, you'll always experience something different. I've been to Coron and the sunken warships and mangroves are just two of many highlights. The most popular attraction in Puerto Princesa is the penal colony and the underground river. I will feature the beauty and exclusivity of El Nido in this series of posts. None of the commercial carriers like Philippine Airlines, Air Philippines, Cebu Pacific, ZestAir or SEAIR can take you to El Nido. Let me take you there.
