In a few hours, it will be the New Year 2013! Part of my goals for the coming year include learning to travel light and mastering packing =) I've been testing packing cubes and other items from Keeping It Together for a few months now and I'm slowly getting the hang of it. Here's how I use them and some of my favorites that I used in my recent trips here and abroad! It's your turn in a while to try them out after this post *winks =)
First off, you can find the KIT (Keeping It Together) Store in TheatreMall Greenhills, on Facebook and on Twitter.
My current obsession are these KIT packing cubes - especially the small (top left) and extra small ones (bottom left)!
The XS packing cubes are the best to separate my undergarments, socks, small towels and other small items from my shirts, skirts, etc.
The hard case bra bag below keeps the wired bras and swimsuit cups intact. I love the strap so I can just pull it out of the luggage.
It can fit around two of my swimwear.
They have a new set of small toiletry bags, which I've been using for my recent trips.
All of the toiletries below fit in there! Haha. The cotton bud case, the square soap container and the squeezable shampoo tube (my super duper favorite) are also from Keeping It Together. If you're curious, the one on the lower right is a very useful travel item - a Swiss Card that comes with a pair of scissors, knife, pen, tweezers, toothpick, ruler, nail file, pin and screw driver =)
The toiletry kit from KIT comes with an S hook so you can just find somewhere to hang it to during your trips. I brought along a suction cup with a hook because I like my toiletries hanging from a tile or mirror like below =)
I put it in my duffel bag for an overnight surfing trip. Yah, I'm really trying to pack light hahaha.
The large packing cube works best for big luggages. I needed it for my big trip to Australia this month =)
If you go the KIT store, you can find these new items like other colored toiletry kits,
this cool jar with a lid
and these other containers in various sizes (you can put lots of stuff in there hehe, the round ones are my favorite for my always-lost hair ties and hair pins!).
This is a cool gift idea for travelers =)
I'd love to hear more about you! Feel free to comment below: Which among the KIT items featured here are you most interested in and why? Care to share any travel packing tips and items you use/bring along to brighten your trips? What are your travel-related goals for 2013?
