Going to Taiwan soon? Have you already purchased two-way tickets from the insanely low fares of Cebu Pacific or Philippine Airlines? People from the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Indian and Vietnam will find it easy to go to Taiwan today because you only have to apply for an Online Entry Permit if you meet all of the following requirements:
1. You must have a valid official passport (6 months before expiration) when you enter Taiwan.
2. You must have a return ticket.
3. You should have never been employed as a blue-collar worker in Taiwan.
4. You should have either a Permanent Taiwan resident card or a valid entry visa to any one of these countries: US, Canada, UK, Japan, Australia, New Zealand or Schengen.
The online permit is valid for 30 days with unlimited entries and exits. It is advisable that you process your visa requirements or online entry permit one month before your departure. The date of your online application will determine your online authorization expiry date, e.g. I applied on October 22, 2010, the authorization to enter expires November 21, 2010. If you do not qualify or if your application for an online entry permit was denied, a Taiwan visa will cost you around P2500 today.
